Shah Rukh Khan and Shoojit Sircar are teaming up for a film? Here’s what we know!

Speculation about Shah Rukh Khan’s next project with director Shoojit Sircar gained momentum after the superstar was spotted at Mehboob Studio in Bandra over the weekend. Many assumed he was conducting a look test for an upcoming film. However, a new report claims that Khan was actually shooting an advertisement for a well-known cookie brand. The commercial, directed by Sircar, quickly became the subject of rumors due to the actor’s distinctive look in the shoot.

Is Shah Rukh Khan collaborating with Shoojit Sircar for his next? A picture from the set, which surfaced online, showed Shah Rukh Khan dressed in an apron and standing in a kitchen. This sparked speculation about a possible new collaboration between the actor and Shoojit Sircar for a film. A report by Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “Shah Rukh’s look was so distinct that people assumed it was a look test. It led to rumors about him fronting Shoojit’s next feature film. But the two actually teamed up for a cookie commercial. The ad has a slice-of-life appeal.”

Behind the Scenes of the Shoot The advertisement was shot on Friday afternoon and wrapped up late at night. Despite being a commercial, the shoot had the essence of a film set, with both Khan and Sircar paying close attention to every detail. “Even after filming his portions, Shah Rukh was fully involved, discussing minute details with Shoojit to perfect the scenes. He brought his usual charm. The campaign will air in two weeks,” added the insider

Speaking of the professional front, SRK was last seen in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and released in 2023. The actor will be next seen in King, written by Sujoy Ghosh and to be directed by Siddharth Anand. Reportedly, the film will mark the big screen debut of Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana.
